Upload your own model files (plan holders)

You can bring a model you made elsewhere into Myrlin Forge, so it sits in My assets with your Forge models and you can animate, convert or download it like they are.

Uploading model files from your computer needs an active plan (Creator, Pro or Max). Reference pictures for builds work on every account, see Make a model from a picture (reference pictures). Models you uploaded before keep their place in My assets.

Steps

  1. Open My assets and press Upload in the top bar (or drop a file on the page).

  2. Choose your model file. The upload box says which file types it takes.

  3. When it is in, select it in My assets like any other model.

Without a plan, the box shows "Uploading model files from your computer needs a plan", with a link to the plans.

The Editor is different: it opens a .blockymodel, .json or .zip from your computer on any account (and without an account) to edit it in the browser. That is not an upload to My assets. See Fix a model by hand in the Editor.

What it costs

Creator includes 10 uploads a month; uploads are unlimited on Pro and Max. Free accounts cannot upload model files. Animating or adding effects to an uploaded model costs what the quote says.

If it does not work

  • "Uploading model files from your computer needs a plan"

Choose a plan on the Billing page (Credits, packs and plans (Pricing and Billing)).

  • A plan holder still sees the lock

The plan may be past due; check the Billing page, then reload My assets.

  • The file is refused

Use a file type the box names, and keep the model and its texture together (a ZIP works well).
