Turn a picture into a Minecraft model

Add a photo, a sketch or concept art. Myrlin Studio builds a blocky 3D model of its main subject with a painted texture, ready to download for Minecraft Java. A description is optional; add one when you want something specific from the picture.

How it works

  1. Open Studio with the picture picker ready and choose or drop a JPG, PNG or WebP up to 8 MB.
  2. If the picture shows more than one thing, use Focus on one object to crop to the part you want.
  3. Describe what you want from the picture, or leave the description empty. Studio asks once before building from the picture alone.
  4. Review the credit price and confirm. Studio builds the model and paints its texture; you can leave while it builds.
  5. Open the finished model in your asset library and choose Minecraft download.

Questions

Do I have to write a description?
No. You can build from the picture alone. Studio asks once whether to add a description, and without one it builds the main subject of the picture.
What pictures can I use?
JPG, PNG or WebP files up to 8 MB. Studio resizes larger pictures to at most 2048 px and keeps PNG transparency.
My picture shows several things. What gets built?
The main subject. Use Focus on one object to crop to the part you want, or name it in the description.
Does it make Minecraft player skins?
No. Minecraft downloads are items, blocks and furniture, or creatures for a mod or ModelEngine. Studio does not export player skin files.
Which Minecraft versions can I export for?
Resource packs support Java 26.3, 26.2 and 1.21.11. Mod and server plugin exports offer 26.2 and 1.21.11. These downloads are not Bedrock packs.
