Terms of service
How Myrlin Studio works when you use it at forge.myrlin.io: your account, credits and payments, and what happens to the models you build.
What Myrlin Studio is
Myrlin Studio is a web tool that builds blocky 3D models from a text description, a reference picture, or both. A build can include a painted texture, preview images, animations and effects. You download the results in the formats offered in Studio and in your asset library, and you can open them in Blockbench or use them in your own projects.
Files exported for a game still need testing in that game. Setup depends on the asset and the target.
Your account
You can browse the site, the gallery and the guides without an account. Starting a build needs one. Sign-in is handled by Clerk, a sign-in service.
New accounts receive a signup bonus, so Myrlin checks for duplicates. A duplicate account still works, but it starts without the bonus: that happens when its email address matches an existing account (Gmail dot and plus variants count as the same address), when its device was already used for two accounts in the past week, or when too many bonus accounts were created from its network in a week.
Credits
Builds, edits, animations and effects are paid for with credits. Studio shows the credit price of an action before you confirm it, and current build prices are listed on the pricing page.
New accounts get a one-time bonus of free credits, except duplicate accounts as described above.
You can buy more credits as a one-time pack, or subscribe to a monthly or yearly plan that adds credits each billing period.
When credits are taken and returned
- Credits are taken when Studio accepts your build.
- If the build fails, its credits go back to your balance automatically. You do not need to ask.
- If the build finishes and is delivered, the credits stay spent.
- Some prompts are refused automatically before a build starts. No credits are taken for a refused prompt.
- Studio can be temporarily unavailable for new builds. A build that cannot start is refused before any credits are taken, and buying credits does not make an unavailable builder available.
Payments and plans
Payments are handled by Stripe. You pay on Stripe's checkout page, so your card details go to Stripe, not to Myrlin.
Plans renew automatically at the listed price until you cancel. You can cancel renewal at any time on the Billing page; your paid access continues until the end of the period you paid for.
Subscription credits belong to the paid period. Whether unused plan credits carry over at renewal depends on the plan, and each plan shows its rule before you subscribe.
Credits from packs and the signup bonus stay in your balance. Myrlin does not currently set an expiry date on them.
If something looks wrong with a payment, email arthur@myrlin.io.
Your builds and the public gallery
Your prompts, reference pictures and models are not shown to other users. The public gallery shows only builds that Myrlin has chosen to feature. A featured build shows the model, its texture, preview images, its name and the prompt used to make it. It does not show your name or account.
If you would like a featured build removed, email arthur@myrlin.io.
The privacy policy explains what is stored and who handles it.
Changes
Prices and features can change. Studio shows the current price before you confirm each build.
